NOT EVEN THE SUN
SHORT FILM | POST - PRODUCTION
A sensorial portrait of a young Canadian woman, Anika who wakes up to another seemingly normal day living in Spain with her Spanish boyfriend and their dog only to have her life fall apart when their dog disappears.
Set in the sunny countryside outside of Madrid amid the country’s economic downturn and social unrest in May 2011, scenes of protest parallel her precarious life situation and the rising tension between her and her boyfriend, Nico. When their dog disappears, everything comes to a head.
Funded by the Canada Council for the Arts, and the Toronto Arts Council.
